SCHOOL UNIFORM
We offer parents a choice of clothing relating to our school colours:
- Royal blue sweatshirt, jumper, cardigan or warm fleece jacket;
- White polo shirt;
- Grey trousers, skirt or pinafore;
- White, black or navy socks or tights.
In the warmer months children may wear a blue and white gingham summer dress or grey school shorts.
Uniform branded with the school logo can be purchased from The Workwear and Schoolwear Co. Ltd (knowns as Simply Workwear), 58-66 Ocean Road, South Shields, NE332JD, Tel 0191 455 3535, https://www.facebook.com/workwear4usouthshields.
However plain uniform without the school logo can also be worn and should be readily available in supermarkets and high street stores.
Sensible black shoes or completely black trainers must be worn. Shoes with heels over 3cms, flip flops, and open-toe shoes and sandals are not permitted. Practical black boots can be worn in wet or particularly cold weather. It would be helpful if younger children could wear shoes with Velcro fastening.
School book bags are available to purchase from school throughout the year via ParentPay.
The wearing of jewellery is forbidden, with the exception of a single wrist watch or medical identification bracelet. If your child wishes to have their ears pierced, the recommendation is for this to be done at the beginning of the summer break. The wearing of make-up, including nail varnish, is not permitted in school.
PE CLOTHING
Different items may be required throughout the year according to the planned PE curriculum activities.
The kit should include:
- PE bag;
- Navy or black shorts;
- White T-shirt;
- Black plimsolls (indoors) or trainers (outdoors);
- Tracksuits may be worn on colder days.
